Paradoxical

That a person complains about a problem does not always mean they want it solved. Paradoxical, but true.

A person’s struggles are often woven into their identity. Take away all their problems, and you take away a part of their life.

It’s no surprise, then, that those who try to solve every problem for others are often met with resistance—even scorn.

Struggle is intrinsic to living.

Remove all friction, and no one can stand.

This is why, in coaching, the goal is not to erase all obstacles but to guide individuals toward solving the problems that no longer serve them.

Only they can decide which burdens to release. And if you pay close attention, you’ll always be amazed by the problems they choose to solve—and the ones they choose to keep.
