Entrée

If someone calls and says they want to discuss two things, the first is usually irrelevant to them; it’s an entrée.

Depending on your reaction, they’ll decide whether to proceed with the main course.

To save time, tell them to start with the most important point.

If they begin with the entrée anyway, agree and inform them you can only support their entrée.

If they skip to the main course, thank them and encourage them to always be direct, as it builds trust.

People rarely call to discuss more than one thing.

How do you know the entrée from the main course? Sweetness.
