The Centerpiece

In art, there’s always more to do
No time to be boastful
You never know which piece will define you
The greatest, stay humble

Then there’s the art of cakes
The artist must craft designs that tickle the customer
Adapt recipes to varying tastes
And seal the memory with lights that lure the camera

I have met one such artist
Concealing in each centerpiece, clues to her story
Passionate yet pragmatist
Neither distracted by praise nor glory
