Last week I was in Ethiopia and took some time out of duty to visit Lucy. Only 40% of her was found and that is more than enough. Anything that stands time increases exponentially in value. Compounding leverages everything that time does not erode.
It made me wonder, what else about her still exists today – her gene pool, her kindness, her aggression, her fears, her love, her desires, her hopes, her dreams, her values, her joy, her seeds, her consciousness, her choices, her gossip, her religion.
3.2 million years ago is a long time, or so it seems, I wonder what will remain of us in the coming 3.2 million years.
This is one of the reasons why I write “The Art of Heart” – that posterity will know we had these thoughts.
