Drip, drip, drip

“In economics, things take longer to happen than you think they will, and then they happen faster than you thought they could.” – Rudiger Dornbusch

If you replace “economics” with “life” in the above quote, you will still be right.

Whether in health, money, school, work, marriage, kids, writing or living, things take longer to happen than you think they will, and then they happen faster than you thought they could.

It is also the magic behind compounding. Drip, drip, drip, it seems the droplets are a nuisance, making useless noise and will be dried up before long, but drip, drip, drip, a bucket becomes full and overflowing.

What drips are you making?
What drips are you ignoring?
The bucket will fill up and overflow.

That bucket is life.
What do you want to overflow from yours?

Drip, drip, drip.
