Fundamental Attribution Error

We use the choices of others to harshly judge who they are, but use our choices to pleasantly justify who we are.

I learnt about “Our fundamental attribution error” on Seth’s blog yesterday.

It made me reflect, not because it is new, but because it is familiar but previously unnamed to me.

As ones vocabulary improves and we are able to properly express our thoughts and feelings in words, better clarity emerges. Clarity reduces inertia.

Hope this helps you name that harsh judgment when you make it, reflect and give others a break.

Start something

The secret to success in any field is universally known, but habitually ignored.

Start something, anything.

The values that get embedded while you work with commitment, care and courage on any task, will bring you success in any field.

It is not your passion that brings out the best in you, but what you have repeatedly done with commitment, care and courage.

Passion feeds the journey, it never births it. To become passionate about anything, start something.

Passion is leverage. It helps you get disproportionate results in a part of your work, so you focus on that part of your work. But if you never started any work, there will be no part to get passionate about.

Start something, anything.
