Fundamental Attribution Error

We use the choices of others to harshly judge who they are, but use our choices to pleasantly justify who we are.

I learnt about “Our fundamental attribution error” on Seth’s blog yesterday.

It made me reflect, not because it is new, but because it is familiar but previously unnamed to me.

As ones vocabulary improves and we are able to properly express our thoughts and feelings in words, better clarity emerges. Clarity reduces inertia.

Hope this helps you name that harsh judgment when you make it, reflect and give others a break.
