Physiology

If you feel sad and uncertain, act like you feel happy and confident.

Smile.
Listen to your song.
Dance.
Throw your hands up in a V above your head.
Take a walk.
Chin up.
Square your shoulders.
Leap and laugh.
Call an old friend that you know will be surprised and pleased you called.
Give a gift to someone.
Ask for a compliment.

Changes in physiology affect emotions.
Positive physiological changes sets positive energy in motion.
Negative physiological changes sets negative energy in motion.

You can tweak your physiology in your favour and if you fail, like most other things in life, try again with a new mix.

Power and Authority

Luke 9:1-6
And he called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal.
And he said to them, “Take nothing for your journey, no staff, nor bag, nor bread, nor money; and do not have two tunics.
And whatever house you enter, stay there, and from there depart.
And wherever they do not receive you, when you leave that town shake off the dust from your feet as a testimony against them.”
And they departed and went through the villages, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere.

Homily:

With so much internal power and authority given, the disciples were still advised to proceed on their journey without any external comforts.

Nothing in their appearance will provide a clue to the depth of their value. The decision on whether to receive or not receive, will thus be based on your love for God and neighbor, not love for appearances.

With great power comes great responsibility and properly managing power/authority requires humility.

Choosing to ignore external tokens of power helps you see more clearly, those that accept or reject you, without knowing the power you carry.
