It is more likely that I start searching for my phone, whenever I previously put it on silent. It is almost as if once I mute my phone, it starts looking for ways to hide away from me. I call my phone the worst attention seeker in my life. It hates being ignored.
The phone is becoming more and more like the mind – unrelenting in its call for attention.
But I have found that to have more enriching real world relationships, the phone needs to be consciously set still.
Silence helps. You can put it on vibrate if you hate the high anxiety of searching for hiding phones.
