Books help us understand the past. It does not replace what the present is teaching us. If anything, it should give us new eyes to see clearly, at first glance, what is before us.
By all means, read books, but please do not forget to live. What you need to live is happening live, right now. Read, learn and live.
I have gotten the greatest insights from the present. Books just made me realise my insights are not so unique. Someone else was also paying attention, even before I became conscious.
There is so much to learn every day, but first, you must be here, now, noticing the tune called life and learning to move in ways that match its rhythm.
