Isaiah 50:4-5
The Lord GOD has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with a word him that is weary. Morning by morning he wakens, he wakens my ear to hear as those who are taught. The Lord GOD has opened my ear, and I was not rebellious, I turned not backward.
Homily:
I have an attentive ear, a discerning mind and a piercing tongue.
These gifts were given without my asking. They have served me.
Every day, I go to the Giver of my gifts and I give account of my stewardship.
Every day, He makes me see that no matter how far I have come, the journey ahead is even greater.
I am thankful for my gifts and by God’s grace, I will continue to share generously with the world, Amen.
