Reverse stigmatization

Stigmatization is a negative word that is not always negative in application.

In mathematics,
When a negative is multiplied by a negative, you get a positive
When a negative is divided by a negative, you also get a positive.

In the same vein, negative words applied to negative behaviors have a positive effect.

At the start of every disease, stigmatization is applied to those that fall ill. The entire script of preventive actions is used as justification that the sick people were either lacking discipline, had poor hygiene, are of a lower gene status, poor people or just plain careless.

Preventive actions are of course positive, but those that choose to stigmatize the ill, use it as justification for their approach.

Usually the only way to counter stigmatization is to reverse stigmatization. For example, we can stigmatize those that display a negative behavior of stigmatizing others.

I admit that it is a dangerous strategy, but it is basically a strategy of serving to people what they have wholeheartedly served to others.

I admit that reverse stigmatization can also drive people into not speaking about their biases, thus allowing it to grow unnoticed, which can be even more dangerous.

I admit that it is better to educate people on the ignorance displayed by stigmatization, but reverse stigmatization is an alternative. And I prefer having alternatives.
