Stealing is an attribute of a scarcity mindset.
Giving is an attribute of an abundance mindset.
It does not matter your standing in life, if you feel any resource is scarce, stealing follows, and if you feel any resource is abundant, giving follows.
People steal out of lack and give out of abundance.
To change the current narrative of a stealing culture, we need an abundance of alternatives. To create those alternatives, government must deliberately expand the space for businesses to thrive. Businesses by their nature give.
Government does not create the space for business, innovators do, but Government can dictate the boundaries of that space. If Government is totally absent and plays no role in setting boundaries, the unbridled desires of humans ultimately makes businesses go rogue.
Government has a role in boundaries, but the boundaries should be so well set that there is enough space for unbounded expression within it, without causing harm to the planet.
The main boundary a Government should set is sustainability. It must ensure there remains a viable and vital space for posterity.
