Diversification

The advice on diversifying your portfolio assumes that you are also building diversified competence.

Diversifying into what you don’t understand is like gambling. There’s beginner’s luck, but a blind addiction to always follows losing money.

Diets

It is only a matter of time before a diet of “Do not drink water” begins to make waves.

After all, most of what we eat is mainly made up of water.

Diets, like fashion, are fads. They will pass.

It is much simpler to use your energy levels before and after eating to curate type and quantity of food you ingest.

Significant drops in your energy level means such meals should be dropped.

Sustained increase in your energy level means such meals should be sustained.

I give thee thanks

Psalms 138:1-3, 6, 8
I give thee thanks, O LORD, with my whole heart; before the gods I sing thy praise; I bow down toward thy holy temple and give thanks to thy name for thy steadfast love and thy faithfulness; for thou hast exalted above everything thy name and thy word. On the day I called, thou didst answer me, my strength of soul thou didst increase. For though the LORD is high, he regards the lowly; but the haughty he knows from afar. The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; thy steadfast love, O LORD, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of thy hands.

Homily:

I woke up this morning with an upside down rainbow on my lips.

A feeling of overwhelming gratitude for my journey with God and the ways in which our relationship has grown.

With God, I feel like a last born. I get a lot of space to express myself and an occasional gentle nudge in the right direction.

There are things that I cannot express in words when I am in His presence. It makes me understand why some people resort to speaking in tongues or groaning. It is such an expansive feeling within, yet beyond.

I love God.
