A paradox

The whole is not the sum of its parts.

The parts are not the whole.

The whole creates its parts.

The parts do not make the whole.

The whole is whole.

The parts are parts.

To understand the whole, observe.

To understand the parts, use.

The whole has no purpose but to be whole.

The parts require a purpose to be part of the whole.

Humans are whole, yet they seek a purpose.
