Trusted hands

Today, there seemed to be too many tasks filling up my plate. Just as I was completing one, another was rising on the horizon.

I started delegating to teammates that I trust to turn in great work, promptly. As expected, execution was prompt, and marked with excellence.

A day that almost looked overwhelming became enjoyable, because again, my team came through.

I am thankful for trusted hands. They remove worries from the heart, and replace it with joy.

Take a second

If you have the time to remember something or someone, take a second to act on it.

If a thought comes to you, take a second to write it down. Your mind might trick you into believing the thought is so novel, you will remember it. You will be shocked at either how much of it you do not remember or how hard it is to remember, if you don’t immediately act on the thought. Writing it down immediately, is reverence to the thought, and it sticks around longer.

If you remember that you have not contacted a person, take a second to send a message or put a call through. Your mind might trick you into believing that this time, you will remember to connect with the person, at the end of your day or week. You will be shocked at how stubborn the pattern of forgetting is, if you don’t immediately drop a line. Connecting immediately, is the Achilles’ heel of procrastination, and it has saved many from needless regret.

If anything comes to you, take a second to act on it. Everything that comes to you is a brush stroke in a painting that only comes together in the end, when you step back.
