If you wait to take advice only from those who are a perfect example, you will waste quite a lot of time.
There are few good examples of your desired choices, and most of them do not even speak about their choices. They understand that words breed compliments that distract from commitment.
Take advice from whoever offers it, filter through to distinguish what is reversible and what is irreversible.
If it is reversible, swallow.
If it is irreversible, chew.
You are not a good example of the advice you give. Even our parents or guardians were not perfect examples of parenthood, but they were enough to nurture and nudge us forward.
Stop waiting for the perfect, it is a form of procrastination.
