Today, I celebrate my mum.
She lives my values and virtues with so much grace, it re-energises me to keep going.
As part of the celebration, my brother wrote an adaptation of a Rick and Morty quote – “Parents are just kids having kids.”
When you realise this, you are more deliberate in loving them.
Their needs are not so different from the needs of their children.
I am thankful for my mum. Love, unfettered.

Gossip
Gossip has been the unifying tool of tribes for centuries.
Gossip thrives on scarcity.
For long periods, we have had a scarcity of information. Gossiping was built on this.
What happens in a world of abundant information? Gossip upgrades from a scarcity of information to a scarcity of interpretation.
The new tribes are no longer being built around information, but around interpretation.
Interpretation is more personal than information. People believe their interpretation without question. Interpretation is more powerful that information.
The new tribes being formed from interpretation will be more illogical and less willing to shift ground.
We are in for quite a ride.
