Bigger problem

Big problems are symptoms of previously ignored small deviations.

The solutions always involve going back to correct the small deviations, after clearing through the smoke and noise the big problem brings.

Small deviations can get tangled up in complicated ways requiring incision before correction. Incision is painful. Humankind avoids pain.

Which is why big problems are inevitable. They exist to force and accelerate action by humankind.

The bigger problem is when a big problem does not trigger decisive action to change direction. The bigger problem leads to a collapse of shared reality, mashing small deviations into one big intractable mess. Then you are forced to accept a new lurid reality of sustained pain.

Nigeria is now dealing with a bigger problem.
