Today, I had a chat with a mentee that is currently going through a difficult pregnancy, and has been bedridden for weeks.

She was so bubbly, if she did not share her story, I never would have suspected she was at the hospital. I tried to get off the phone early, but she wanted to share some concerns she had about her business. She saw her current incapacity as an opportunity to redesign her business to function without her “hands”, even when she is back, hale and hearty. I shared my initial thoughts, and we agreed to compare notes when she was feeling better.

You never know what people are going through, even when you are sitting right beside them. The least you can do is to be kind and lighten their cross.

I am thankful for people who see their crosses as opportunities to get a better perspective on life. Framing is destiny.
