Today, I had a conversation that started out as formal and ended up quite personal.
Someone shared a personal story which made me sink into my chair. The story ended with a plea for me not to feel pity. Pity was definitely not the emotion I felt. What I felt was respect.
I am thankful for the stories that help me see that there are more heroes in plain sight than in the movies.
