Meaning

Today, I had a quarterly plans conference with my team.

I enjoyed it.

Everyone was so eager to contribute, time was our only limitation.

Someone described how engaging the session was by saying, “There was no time to check the time.”

It was put together by some teammates, and as usual, I’m amazed at what people can do if you empower them.

I am thankful for every opportunity to find meaning in the work I do.

Inconsistency

Any text lacking inconsistencies is not speaking about the human experience.

This is the reason I smile when people call out the inconsistencies in holy books.

There is inconsistency in our lived reality, so why will a chronicle of that reality be consistent?

There is inconsistency in any historical tract. If there isn’t, there is no truth in it.

Science has proven without a doubt that smoking tobacco is harmful, but there are many who smoke till a ripe old age. The inconsistency here is not an aberration, it is life. The two realities exist.

When I hear a story that makes perfect sense, I know it has been refined to fit my world view, not necessarily reality.

I will go deeper on this topic someday. But today, I have some inconsistencies at hand requiring discernment.
