Homily

Today, I heard a really funny story from a priest, advising us to be careful when we pray.

In his words, “when you pray for the devil to get behind you, he actually does, and is then better able to push you into temptations.”

Moral of the story – It is always better for your enemy to be in sight, so you always know what you are contending with, than out of sight, where you can easily drop your guard.

The mood in church lifted after his homily. You can actually tell when a priest delivers a great homily. The fans work better.

I am thankful for homilies that teach timeless lessons through short stories.
