Today, I chose a response that is atypical of me.
Usually, when people offer me rubbish, I toss them in the can.
For some strange unknown reason, I chose to respond like they were the most caring people I have ever met.
I could see the surprise on their faces.
Fighting fire with fire can be destructive to all involved, which is why the fire department uses water.
I am thankful for the ability to choose my response.
