Today, I said a difficult “No.”
I knew it was the right thing to do, but saying no to a loved one is never easy, especially to one that has your “mumu” button.
They will press the button for the full effect of regret on your undesirable decision making.
But I said no because a yes would have unwittingly led to harm. I had to choose temporary regret to avoid permanent languishing.
I am thankful for hard choices that offer easy crosses.
