Avoid anything that would put the burden of a secret on those you love.

If you happen to yield, confess it promptly. Forgiveness is a lighter burden to bear.

Too many relationships are needlessly strained by the burden of secrets. We have for too long made secrets the marker of close bonds, but it is not.

The most enduring relationships are not defined by secrets. It is within the values of commitment, care and courage that relationships blossom.

Whatever you need to say with a caveat – “please, keep this a secret” or “please, do not tell anyone”, should neither be said nor done in the first place.

The corruption of the soul is directly proportional to the amount of secrets it bears.
