Love makes you give in ways that can only be described as sacrificial.
In Nigerian parlance, your “mumu” button is activated.
Even when things turn sour, you feel no regrets for the sacrifices made. This is in fact one way to know it is love.
Love also makes you submit. You trade-off your wont for another’s will.
It is one of the most beautiful things to see, especially when you know what “before” looked like.
It is maybe what makes love feel like an accelerator. It eases the mental hurdle of decision making.
I hear too many people say, “love is not enough.” They then proceed to mention the fruits of love, as the things that are needed to make love work. They forget that the tree and its fruit are one.
Love has always has been, and will always be, enough.
