The familiar

We pay more attention to the new than we do to the familiar, yet the familiar holds more accessible treasures than the new.

We go on a wild goose chase for fleeting treasures in the new, and if we are lucky, the new points us back to explore the familiar.

It is hard not to be subsumed for the allure of the new. It is hard not to deprioritise the familiar. But we must break hard shells if we are to access the soft sweet core of life.
