Training Opportunities

One major pitfall I have found with some top performers is their willingness to skip training opportunities because of the immediate demands of their job.

Every training nomination is not just an opportunity to improve how you do your current job, but more importantly, it is a preparation for your next role.

Skipping training opportunities might look like management empathy in the moment, but it is career suicide in the long run.

In the worst case scenario, I have seen less capable people progress in their careers because of exposure to new learning, while those more capable were left resentful.

Please work out a way to maximise your training opportunities.
