If you snooze you lose

Alarm clocks are slowly becoming transition clocks.

They wake people up to transition from deep sleep to a light snooze.

Light snooze is a weakening period that dissipates all the energy that had been recharged by deep sleep.

Light snooze burns energy, instead of recharging, because you are awake to the fact that you should not still be sleeping.

If you start your day feeling tired, maybe you should start your day immediately you wake up, not after another short snooze.

If you think you wake up too early, maybe you should address the root cause(s), instead of trying to compensate with a self-limiting snooze.
