Milestones

Every day is an anniversary of some sort. No day is ordinary.

We just don’t keep track of milestones well.

Last night, a teammate called to congratulate me on 2 years in my current role. It took me a while to understand why he called.

I am so used to the call pattern of “pleasantries > problem > possibilities,” that when a call comes with just pleasantries on a regular day, I keep waiting for the hook.

Every day is not just a gift, it is a celebration. It is a gift from the future and a celebration from the past.

Smile, every day. There is always a reason to.
