Entrepreneurs go long on the economy.
Politicians go short on the economy.
The long and short of it is that you need both for balanced growth.
In Nigeria, being a politician is more aspirational than being an entrepreneur. Many people are actively working to either be politicians or to serve politicians.
It is no wonder our economy is shorted by design.
For over 30 years, the easiest investment strategy in Nigeria has bden to bet against the economy. And those who do so win.
A national redesign is required to elevate entrepreneurship. To rebalance our economy for those who go long on it.
This is why I am investing some of my time in the Fate Foundation entrepreneurship mentoring program. To provide entrepreneurs with a system that helps them access finance and improve operations.
My next goal would be to start out an entrepreneurial side project.
