Leadership Styles

There are broadly four types of leadership styles:

Style 1: Impatient with people; Impatient with results.

Style 2: Impatient with people; Patient with results.

Style 3. Patient with people; Impatient with results.

Style 4. Patient with people; Patient with results.

Each style has its advantages and disadvantages, on a personal level, professional level, and institutional level.

Each leader chooses the style that they think works for them and they switch when they feel it is no longer working.

On an aggregate level, I have seen that as leaders mature on their journey through experience and reflection, they move from Style 1 to Style 4.

What style are you presently using?
