Repair

There is a road I usually ply, which is under repair.

I had wondered why repair was delayed for so long.

Now that repair has started, the inconvenience is crushing.

I wish it could go faster, but the repair is thorough. Such things take time.

I almost wish they could allow things as they were to reduce the inconvenience, then I remember how discomforting the pothole-riddled road was.

Additionally, with the repair already ongoing, if they stop now, the road will be far worse than it was before they started.

So now I wait. I wait for the repair process to be complete. I wait for better rides return.

It is the same in life and in relationships. Repair is messy and discomforting. Most people try to go back to the pothole-riddled road, but sadly, the relationship only deteriorates further.

It is better to leave a relationship in disrepair than start the repair process and stop along the way.

It is best to see the repair process through. The ride after will turn the discomfort of the past into beautiful memories.
