Learning

The foundation of learning is observation.

You observe through your five senses: you watch, listen, smell, taste, and feel what is going on around you. It requires authentic curiosity; otherwise, learning will not take root.

The next phase of learning is instruction.

Those who have done it before connect what you observe to why it is so. It requires humility, because much of what you observe and take as reality will be shown to be a mirage, questioning the dependability of your senses. Understanding what is real allows you to sprout.

Finally, learning becomes ingrained through practice.

This is your signature, your “how.” Connecting what to why in a way that is uniquely yours. This is where the quality of your observation and connection compounds into mastery. This is where your learning bears fruit.

Everyone bears fruit; what distinguishes people is the depth of their roots and the strength of their shoots.
