Editing

The most difficult aspect of writing is editing.

The difficulty lies not in the reading and grammar checks but in cutting out the bits the writer loves because they disrupt the flow.

No book ever reaches the reader as the writer wishes. It is the editor’s work that the reader reads.

I am finally editing my next book, “37,” and I am mourning treasured aspects that are being cut.

We move.
