Most unprotected sex happens because the two adults deceive themselves into believing sex was not on the cards.
So the condom stays in the wallet because the guy is too conflicted to reach for it, and the girl is too shy to ask for it.
They both act as if the act is spontaneous, but it is anything but.
All sex is planned, if not by both parties, then by at least one.
The most honest relationships do not kid themselves at the start. They are upfront about what is happening and make the choice of protection or not deliberate.
I am not talking about just sex.
