Reincarnation

I was discussing with a beautiful mind yesterday, and we were discussing some beliefs about life.

She mentioned that she believes in reincarnation and was inquiring about my opinion.

My opinion on life after death has been shaped by some observations:

First of all, every person I know that has had a near-death or out-of-body experience has not felt like coming back. The tranquility of the new experience made life on earth feel muddied.

Secondly, the not knowing what life is before conception is only matched by the not knowing of what life after death is. It seems “nothing” is the space in which life is birthed and ended, and true “nothing” is the bliss that is experienced by those that explain the experience of the point above.

Considering both observations, I shared that reincarnation would be plausible if life on earth is the hell religions speak of and those who have not yet attained purity and congruence of body, soul, and spirit are brought back here to remove the dross and enable oneness.

I have no fixed beliefs on life after death, but I have fixed beliefs on life before death, and that is enough for now.
