Microphones

When you are given a microphone, it is a prompt that your voice needs to be amplified.

If your voice is already loud enough, a microphone will not be necessary.

There are many types of microphones we are given—titles, positions, status, platforms, rooms, tables, and many more.

Our responsibility with the microphone is not to amplify voices that are already loud but the ones that quake at the thought of speaking.

When loud voices are given microphones, the message is lost because it is drowned in an overwhelming pitch.

When silent voices are given microphones, people better appreciate why the microphone was designed in the first place.

The microphone is not for thank-yous to those who put you on the microphone. That only serves ego.

It is always an opportunity to give voice to whispers. For the truth of who we are lives in the whispers.
