Those who embrace uncomfortable consequences take responsibility.
Those who avoid uncomfortable consequences get blamed.
Another subtle difference is in humility.
Those who embrace the learning take responsibility.
Those who avoid the learning get blamed.
Notice that I am using “take” for responsibility and “get” for blame. It highlights the often-overlooked role of agency in the difference.
