Today, I got a call from an old friend. Immediately I saw the number, I knew who it was. Some phone numbers stay with you, especially the ones you knew before you had a phone.
The call started with usual accusations of my not keeping in touch, progressed to talking about all the ills in Nigeria and finally ended with the main reason for the call.
It was a call to share good news. A milestone we had joked about in school was now being fulfilled.
I am thankful for old friends that walk the talk.
