Stop asking people to be your mentor.
Great mentors always say no to such requests. They understand it is only an ego trip.
You cannot know the mentor you need until you are walking the path.
Do your work, and as you progress, you will have a specific area that needs clarity.
When you have a specific question, ask it, and apply the insights from the feedback.
Then come back to show your work – What worked? What did not work?
This is how the conversation starts. From your feedback on what worked and what didn’t, you would draw out even more insights.
Mentoring is a relationship, not a transaction.
