Today, I got a farewell email from a friend.
One line from his message stood out for me – “…the plan was 5 years and then move on to other things, but then, life happened and the years sped past.”
Gretchen Rubin had unmatched insight when she said – “The days are long, but the years are short.”
He is one of the lucky few that still gets to choose possibility, in spite of the sunk cost of years gone by.
I am thankful for the days that define years, and the years that refine days.
