Today, I saw someone in the car next to mine eating an egg. I smiled knowing if he was sitting next to me, I would be repulsed by it.
Not that I hate hard-boiled eggs, but I can only stand the smell if I am also having one.
The same applies to quite a number of foods and beverages. I hate the smell when someone next to me is eating or drinking them, but I don’t notice the smell when I am also indulging in them.
The same thing applies to a number of activities on which I pass judgment. I judge others when they indulge in them, and show more understanding when I am also involved.
I am thankful for times I delay judgment, and show more understanding.
