Today, I had the sweetest apple I have ever tasted.
I immediately felt it was genetically modified. It just didn’t make sense that apples like this have always existed and they are not more abundant. But I was wrong, it was all natural.
It reminded me of the first time I tasted sweet African Star Apple (agbalumo/udara). I grew up having agbalumo that slaps back, so imagine the surprise when I had one that caressed the tip of my tongue.
I am thankful for nature’s sweet treats.
