Today, I understood again why radio stations will remain with us for a while.
It is in the element of surprise on what comes next.
With almost every other media, you know what comes next, but with the radio, you never know. And if they have any sense, they would keep it that way.
I hate it that MTV and Trace now think it is cool to inform me about the song that comes next. It has never made me wait and watch.
Back to the radio. I heard some of my favourite songs from 10 years ago today. Out of the blue, the OAP just decided to swing the tune back a decade. It made an otherwise tortuous ride, pleasurable.
I am thankful for radios, and the ways they help to shape culture.
