Rubik’s cube

Rubik’s cubes are delivered solved. Every purchase I have made comes solved.

We scramble it, for the thrill of the struggle to solve it.

When we solve it, we pat ourselves on the back and celebrate our achievement. Achieving a task we never should have started in the first place.

Then, we scramble it again, this time we aim to solve it in record time. Solving it is no longer enough, beating time becomes the new high.

There are parallels in this to how we do different aspects of life.

We get complete and perfect gifts, scramble it, solve it, scramble it again, and then, start a race against time to solve it. An endless cycle of toil.
