Privacy is the ultimate luxury.
The ability to choose what to keep private, what to make public, or to swing at will between private and public is freedom.
Privacy commands a premium, so people seek the means to pay up.
Marketing and PR are tools to foster privacy. To the untrained eye, they are for publicity, but far from it. Their primary goal is to control the narrative. Controlling the narrative is more about what is not being said (privacy) than what is being said (smokescreens).
Which is why I am amazed when people trade-in their privacy for fame. Do you know how much those with fame pay for privacy?
The bar of entry into fame is too low to be an aim.
Every time you are offered an opportunity to trade off your privacy, realise that you might not be able to afford the cost to get it back.
