All the World’s a Stage

All great presenters will tell you all they need in the audience is one.

One person that is locked in.

Till they find that one, they search the eyes of many, looking for the one.

Sometimes, the one is not in the audience.

If they do not find the one, the presentation can still be great, because great presenters understand that performance cannot be anchored on emotions but on regimen.

The challenge is, without the one, the presentation is draining, but with the one, it is energising.

Children, being raw and unsophisticated in masking energy, show this when their favourite parent does not show up or shows up in their major stage moments. The drain or energise respectively is so visible to see.

One job we owe those we care about is to be there when they take the stage. You are the one, the energy they need.
