Auditors

Today, I did one of my usual fun pattern recognition exercises on auditors that I have worked with.

The nitpicking auditors were always the ones with no skin in the game. And most times, when they are put in the arena, they just could not pull their weight.

The supportive auditors had skin in the game. They understood the many priorities faced daily, and the tradeoffs in choices.

Both groups can deliver the same final assessment, but while one drains energy out of the team, causing blame-game and self-preservation; the other re-energizes the team to explore new growth opportunities.

I am thankful for supportive auditors. Those that do not just point the way, but walk the path.
